This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Thank you for the comment on "behold"... wow, suggestions. Well, I found it really hard to get as much variation in tone that I wanted. I think it is partially due to the ink drying up a little bit, and using mayfair. If you want a lot of subtleties I would suggest using rag paper. I used solvent for most of my textures. It is interesting to see how the solvent will go into the ink and create a unique separation . However, I found it hard for the textures to transfer. So I then started putting solvent on and dabbing it right away with a cloth, scrap paper or paper towel. It helps the solvent dry faster and as well creates a different technique. With my monoprints I first started off with putting a ground and then drawing the image on top and creating shadows by wiping away, which also creates a really cool texture. I hope that my suggestions have helped, and good luck with your project... By the way beautiful work, great technique.
you put clumps of gesso on a board and then place saran wrap and put it in designs you want the creases to be and let it dry. it takes FOREVER for it to dry though so you have to be patient! i really love your work! i love your use of colors!!!
